Hello, my name is Amy and this is my ePortfolio for my ENC2135 class.

In all honesty, writing was never really my passion. I always dreaded reading literature and then having to write about it. This class however, has allowed me to write about things that I felt were worth writing about about. It is easier for me to write about something I'm interested in or feel passionate about. I really enjoyed exploring the topic of different genres and incorporating images into our writing. As a writer, I prefer to take the simpler route. I do not enjoy over analyzing, filling my work with tons of big words, and following a complex format. In most of my work, you will notice I follow the order of an  introduction, three discussions, a counter argument, and then a conclusion.  As a first semester college student, most of my writing stems from my high school experience. The english classes at my high school focused only on analytical writing, my least favorite kind of writing. It is because of this that has shaped me into the writer that I am today. Reading pieces with hidden meanings and having to analyze them was very difficult for me and definitely not my strong suit. I like reading something that is easy to understand, therefore I write for my work to be easily understood.
