This course has taught me a lot about genre and what it is. Before this class, I thought a genre was a category of a book, movie, or music. Instead, I learned that genre is how an argument is presented. The use of the three projects allowed for me to gradually gain the understand in the most efficient way, so that I can truly understand the curriculum being taught. In addition to learning about genre, I also learn a lot about citation, and more specifically, MLA 8th edition citation. In my previous writing career, I would just plug my source into a citation generator and hope for the best, but now I know how to properly cite sources on my own. Project one taught me how images are important in writing, project two taught me how to embed images into my wiring and properly cite my sources, and project three taught me how to remediate my argument into several other genres while still being rhetoric. This class was very enjoyable because it wasn't your average "essay after essay" english class and because of this, I became more understanding and open to ideas as a writer, than being stubborn like I was before. If I had to take this class again, I truly wouldn't mind it.
